Community Midwives
The Community Midwife offers all women advice on all aspects of pregnancy and runs ante natal clinics in conjunction with the doctors. She holds parent craft, relaxation classes and will offer advice on breast feeding, as well as all other aspects of postnatal care at home. Partners are encouraged and welcomed at all times. Consultation by appointment. |
Community Nurses
The District Nurses provide home nursing for patients who, because of the nature or severity of their illness, are housebound. They nurse chronically and acutely ill patients, those who require post-operative nursing or those who are terminally ill. The District Nurses are also able to give advice on such topics as health promotion, healthy life-styles, rehabilitation, nursing equipment and the Carer’s Group.
The District Nurses may be contacted by telephone weekdays on 01202 247777 from 8.30 – 9.00 am and 12.30 – 1.00 pm. At other times an answering machine is available for messages. |
Health Visitors
The Health Visitor can offer advice on health care to all ages, but in particular to expectant mothers, small children, the elderly and the handicapped.
